I have great intentions of writing a number of articles on mathematics. These articles will go into a static web server...so I decided to add the rate engine from InfoSuprHwy.com to the articles. That way I can get a little feedback.
Critique of the Diagonal Method (descmath.com) An article I wrote about the diagonal method. My contention is that the introduction of transfinite theory needs dramatic improvements.
Rich Theory (descmath.com) I think it might be best to study large sets before talking about infinite sets. I call the idea "Rich Theory." The implication is that there is more to infinity than the dichotomy between "countable" and "non-countable" sets.
Diagonal Method on Finite Sets (descmath.com) Applying the diagonal method on finite sets makes it clear that the method simply proves that 2^n > n for n > 1.
Al's Infinite Hotel (descmath.com) Looks at Hilbert's infinite hotel model. The method is dependent on the guests moving into a hallway, indicating that there is more to the proof than what meets the eyes.
