Selling tickets online is big business. Sadly, online ticket sales is a notoriously corrupt industry. Ticket sales are often controlled by local cartels, scalpers and worse. Media outlets that open ticket sales to all, or that offer tickets through affiliate arrangements, tend to get overrun with scams, and on the backside of the industry, huge Wall Street firms seek to dominate the ticket industry with massive sites designed to dwarf local ticket outlets.

The Community Color sites list local events. The sites all open to all events taking place within the communities served. I have tried to avoid the ticket industry. Usually, I just give free links to the artists to give the artist greater control. This leaves the calendars without any source of funding.
