In 1997 Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz combined their kitchens to serve delicious bundt cakes and found a delicious hole in the market that they could fill with a franchise chain dedicated to delivering sweet cakes.

In 2016 Levine Leichtman Capital Partners acquired the firm with Dena Tripp as chairperson and significant shareholder.
