Riverside Company
The Riverside Company is a private equity firm based in New York that was founded in 1988. Wikipedia claimed that the company had $400M under management in 2018.
The company makes "investments" in smaller companies. Sometimes the targeted companies are wrapped up into larger companies. Sometimes they re-emerged as private firms owned by the original investors. Here is an interview on Fox News

The web site lists over 80 active investments and hundreds of realized investments. Most of the investments are outside my scope of interest; So I listed the active investments and the inactive investments that I encounter in other research.
- 1988: Company founded in New York.
- 2003-2010: Riverside invested in Dwyer Group which has home service franchises. They sold to TZP Group in 2010.
- 2004: Riverside invested in Salt Lake based Sport Court
- 2005: Riverside merged Sport Court with Connor Sport Flooring to create Connor Sport Court.
