Silver Lake Partners is a private equity firm based in Menlo Park, Ca. Wikipedia indicated the site had over $42 billion under management. I copied the company's portfolio to the right in November 2019. I will add details for select transactions as I encounter them in my research.

Corporate History

This section lists select transactions that I encounter as I research who owns what in the local community.

• 1999: The firm was started during the height of venture capital investments in Silicon Valley.
• 2013: Silver Lake acquired Dell
• 2017-18: SilverLake took SolarWinds private. Solarwinds network security products
  • 2020: SolarWinds was the center of major security hack of US government agencies.
• 2018: Silver Lake acquired KKR's stake in Weld North. Weld North invests in in K-12 curriculum.
