Famous Dave's

Born of a love of blues and barbeque, Famous Dave's is a growing chain of restaurants dedicated to bringing the best barbeque to all corners of the United States. legend states that Chicago native Dave Anderson spent a quarter of a century touring the best barbeque restaurants in the land in a quest to develop the best recipes and practices.

The dream of creating a world class barbeque restaurant came to fruition in 1994 with the opened his first restaurant at Big Round Lake in Wisconsin. The company went public on NASDAQ in 1996 with the symbol DAVE

The next step was to open a barbeque shack in Linden Hills, Mn. Realizing that barbeque tastes better while listing to live blues, Dave Anderson open the Famous Dave's BBQ & Blues Club in Minneapolis. Demand for the que was so large that Mr. Anderson began franchising his barbeque know how and the Famous Dave's chain was born.
