Benihana
Benihana is a chain of upscale Japanese restaurants based in Miami noted for a serving technique in which chefs prepare the cuisines at the teppanyaki tables for the patrons. The name Benihana is translated as "safflower."
The company was founded in NYC in 1964 by Hiroaki "Rocky" Aoki and named for the coffee shop owned by his parents in Tokyo.
