BDT Capital is an investment firm started by Byron D Trott who had worked at Goldman Sachs and did banking for Warren Buffet.
The secretive company does not have a web site. Sites report that the group raised $6.3 billion for investment in 2019.2. Reports say that BDT worked in conjunction with JAB Holdings on it acquisitions of Peet’s Coffee, Caribou Coffee, Einstein Bros., and Krispy Kreme and Kuerig Dr Pepper.

- 2009: Bryron Trott left Goldman Sachs to start his own firm.
- 2019: BDT acquired majority interest in Whataburger.
