SolarWinds is a information technology firm that offers network management and security systems. The company's headquarters are in Austin, Tx. They trade on the NYSE with the symbol SWI.

SolarWinds provides cyber security services to many US government agencies and Fortune 500 companies. Their Orion business system was was hacked in 2020. This hack compromised many Fortune 500 firms and US Federal Agencies including the Department of Treasury and segments of the Department of Defense. It is likely the hack was performed by Russian hacking enterprise called Cozy Bear.
