Cinemark
Cinemark Theatres is a chain of multiscreen theatres with the brands Cinemark, Tinseltown USA, Century and CinéArts. Many of the theaters include advanced technology such as imax and Cinemark XD. The theaters often play prerecorded concerts and live events.
The company was started in 1984 by Lee Roy Mitchell with theaters in Texas, Utah and California. Yahoo reports that, by June 2011, the chain had grown to 436 theaters with 4983 screens. They have theaters in 39 states plus Mexico, Brazil and other Latin American countries.
Cinemark Holdings Inc. has its headquarters in Plano, Texas. The company trades on the NYSE with the symbol CNK.
Advertisment: You can follow the theaters on facebook and Twitter.
Many of the theaters use the Fandango system which allows you to look up movie times and buy tickets online. Buying tickets online means you don't need to wait in line and won't miss a show if it is sold out.
