• 1998: Liberty acquired Canadian based U&R Tax Depot and opened five offices in the US.
• 2011: JTH Holdings parent company of Liberty held IPO for $90 million.
• 2017: John Hewitt left company after sex scandal.
• 2018: Liberty was delisted from NASDAQ due to delays in its SEC reports.
