UniGroup
UniGroup is a holding company for United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit. The company's headquarters are in Fenton, Mo which is a suburb of St. Louis. The company claimed that it was a $1.7 billion company that handled a third of all interstate moves in 2018.
MoveRescue is a program to help consumers deal with fraud by unscrupulous moving companies.

- 1928: Return Loads Service, Inc. was created to provide moving vans with return loads.
- 1928: Group changed its name to United Vans Services.
- 1933: First company was dissolved and re-emerged as United Van Services.
- 1941: company moved its headquarters to Fenton, Mo
- 1947: company adopted an agent owner structure.
- 1969: United created United Leasing, Inc. which leases trucks and equipment to contractors.
- 1988: Company formed UniGroup holding company.
- 1995: UniGroup acquired Mayflower Transit.
History of Mayflower Transit
- 1927: Conrad M. Gentry and Don F. Kenworthy founded Mayflower in Indianapolis. They said they came up with the name while eating at the Mayflower Cafe in Dayton, Oh.
- 1957: Mayflower and American Express Companysponsored the voyage of the Mayflower II which recreated the 1620 voyage of the Mayflower.
- 1981: Company was listed on the American Stock Exchange.
- 1982: Mayflower acquired Major Video Concepts which distributed videocassette tapes to retail outlets.
- 1984: Mayflower moved the NFL Baltimore Colts to Indianapolis.
- 1984: Mayflower began an aggressive acquisition spree with purchase of R. W. Harmon & Sons, Inc. which provided school buses out of Overland Park, Kansas.
- 1985: Mayflower acquired Dorsey Bus.
- 1986: Laidlaw Transportation, Inc. attempted hostile takeover of Mayflower
- 1986: Management took Mayflower private in a leveraged buyout as MG Holdings with financing by Smith Barney, Inc. and Mayflower Partners.
- 1992: MG Holdings was renamed Mayflower Group which spun off its bus division as Mayflower Contract Services.
- 2003: UniGroup created MoveRescue to help consumers deal with unscrupulous movers.
