1956: Louis O. Kelso, with the firm Louis O. Kelso Inc. worked on merger and acquisitions involving Employee Stock Ownership Plans.
1958: Kelso developed an investment vehicle called a Consumer Stock Ownership Plan which appears to be similar to a buyers' coop.
1971: Louis O. Kelso and associates founded Kelso Bangert & Company as an advisor and merchant bank to engage in mergers and acquisitions.

2011: Keslo invested in Sentinel Data Centers which was founded in 2001 to built fault tolerant data centers.
2017: Kelso exited Sentinel after CyrusOne acquired two data centers from Sentinel*
