Great Wolf Resorts

Great Wolf Resorts was founded in 1997 by brothers Jack and Andrew Waterman as Black Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells, Wi. The company listed 18 properties when I made this page in September 2019. The video shows a water slide in a California resort:

Corporate History

The company was purchased by Great Lakes Company in 1999 which changed the brand for the resorts to Great Wolf Resort.

In 2012 Apollo Global Management won a bidding war for the resort against KSL Capital Partners. The resorts changed hands again with the 2015 acquisition by Centerbridge Partners for #1.35 billion.

The company moved its headquarters to Chicago in 2017.
