Onex Corporation
Onex Corporation is a private equity firm out of Toronto, Ontario. The firm reported that it controlled $32 billion in assets when I visited the site in 2018. The site listed 32 active investments and 58 realized investments when I visited the site. Many of the investments are in the ONCAP Investment fund.
The company trades on the Toronto exchange with the symbol: ONEX.
The firm was founded by Gerry Schwartz who had worked for KKR and Bear Stearns.
I drew the company list from the firm's portfolio in September 2018. I copied the "funds raised" figures from Onex History, which is not completely clear on the source of the funds. I add links to the companies I've written up on other pages:
